1960's Makeup Pictorial!

Here are some closeups of the look I will be doing for you today.
This is a collaboration with my good friend Holly, I will leave all of her details at the end of this post so you can go check out her blog and see the 1940's look she created for the collab!
As the title of this post says it's a 1960's makeup pictorial, I was mostly inspired by Twiggy's look but also inspired by Jessica Marais makeup from the the TV show Love Child
.
Step 1
I had already completed my base and brows, which I will list at the end of the post.
The first step I did on the eyes was take 'Strange' from the Naked3 Palette and apply that all over the lip and up past the crease which the Real Techniques setting brush.

Step 2
I then started straight on the cut crease. I went in with 'Darkside' from the Naked3 Palette with a small smudger/ dome brush. I focused it in the crease and blending it just above the socket.
I started in the middle of the crease and worked it into the inner corner going down as far as you can, I then started working it towards the outer corner finishing where the lid stops.
I then went in with a thin blending brush and blended that very softly not wanting to fade any color.

Step 3
I then used the same brush and took 'Blackheart' from the Naked3 palette and darkened up the cut crease, blending it in with the same brush also.
I then took 'Strange' again and applied in all over the lid below the line I created packing it on so the color really shows up.

Step 4
Taking 'Blackheart' again this time on a angled brush I pushed that into my tighline. I then created a small wing and ran it along my top lash line keeping it thinner towards the inner corner.
I then applied it on my bottom lash line.

Step 5
I then tight lined my bottom lash line with NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk.
Then taking my Maybelline eye pencil I drew faint lines on my bottom lash line creating the effect on thicker lashes. I then applied my Essence Lash Mania mascara packing in on the bottom lashes
I then applied these false lashes I got from Daiso.

Step 6
I then blanked out my lips with a small bit of foundation and applied elf matte lip color in Nearly Nude.
You can defiantly apply a gloss, but I thought the matte look suited better.

Step 7
This is all I applied to my face.

Final Look

I really hope you liked this look!

1920s Makeup Pictorial

A quick note that I will be doing Pictorials of requested makeup looks every Wednesday! I am very excited to do this so please let me know what your request is!
For this look I recreated 1920's makeup! Dark smokey eyes, Dark lips and flushed cheeks. You can deffiantly darken the eyes a lot more but I tried to make its bit more wearable. If you want to know how to do this just keep reading!

First Step
First off start with a clean base, you can apply a primer or natural colored eyeshadow base but today I just used a little bit of my foundation to even out the eye lid.
I then applied MAC eyeshadow in Satin Taupe using a large flat shader brush all over the lid not going above the crease
I then using my large fluffy blending brush applied MAC eyeshadow in Shale blending that into my crease focusing more on the outer part of the lid.

Second Step
I then applied my e.l.f mineral eyeshadow in Socialite with a medium flat shader brush, applying that very close to my lash line and blending it up towards the crease, but not going into the crease.
Try making it fade off, keeping it darker at the lash line. Also run that lightly on the bottom lash line.
Third Step
I then tight lined my top lash line with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean. You can tight line the bottom but I chose not to.
I also then applied this on my top lash line not going to far into the inner corner and don't worry if it's messy. I then grabbed a smudger brush and blended that the same with what I did with the mineral shadow blending that up but not as far up.
Also whatever is left on the brush run that under the bottom lash line
Fourth Step
I then went on to complete my base. I applied Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation with my Real Techniques Sponge and patted my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer under my eyes with my finger. I then applied my e.l.f under eye setting powder with the Real Techniques setting brush and my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder to set my whole face with a large fluffy brush.
I then did a light contour with Benefit Hoola and a small angled contour brush and then applied e.l.f studio blush in Pink Passion with a stippling brush focusing on the apples on the cheek for a flushed look
Fifth Step
I then filled in my brows with the essence eyebrow kit and an angled brush, and applied my essence Lash Mania mascara.
I applied 2 coats of this.
Sixth Step
I didn't apply a lip pencil but you defiantly can!
I went in with a flat eyeliner brush, to get that perfect point to my lips and a perfect line around the lips. I used a lipstick in my Ben Nye palette called Sangria
Final look!

Daiso Haul!

So on the weekend I went of an adventure to Melbourne and popped into Daiso. If you don't know what Daiso is it's big store which sells things from cosmetics, home ware to pet toys! The best thing about it though is everything is only $2.80!!
I didn't pick up a lot or look at everything as I was going to a concert that night and didn't want to carry much.
So let me show you what I got!

LASHES!
There was a whole aisle just for lashes! I sort of just grabbed some and walked on!

I also picked up some sponges because why not!

I  then picked up these two eyeshadow palettes, which aren't actually for me but I though I would include them!

I also got these two lip balms, one is unscented and one is mint!

I also got this Blush and Highlighter duo which I have seen a lot of people use before, so I thought I would try it out!

I got these blotting papers which are absolutely amazing!

I then picked up this mascara which I have also seen around, I am yet to try this!

My last purchase was these adorable bed socks, along with another pair that I had on my feet while taking photos of these ones!

I did also purchase Japanese Lemon-aid for my brother too!
So that is all I got from Daiso on Bourke St
I hope you liked it, and if there is anything you want to see reviewed or have any questions about these products feel free to contact me !
