Skincare routine

Hello there and welcome to my blog! Today's post is all about my daily skincare routine!
I will usually change it up a bit and I won't always use these exact products, but lets get into it.

The very first thing I use is facial wipes, I'm out of my favorite ones which are the Simple facial cleansing wipes but at the moment I am using Swisspers cucumber wipes and Smart Skin Cleansing wipes. They both do the job great of getting most of the visual makeup off my face! The cucumber ones are also great for getting eye makeup off as they don't have harsh chemicals and great for sensitive skin

I then use my Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, which is good for getting every little bit off your face, although I don't use them around my eyes as the wipes get most of that off.
I use it by pumping a small amount in my hand adding water, making a lather and apply to my face in circular motions. I need rinse off with warm water.

I would then grab a circle cotton pad with a few drops of my Simple toner and wipe this all over my face, this gets off any makeup that the special cleansing gel may have left behind.

Depending on how I am feeling I will use one of these two exfoliants the first one being my physical exfoliant being the St. Ives apricot scrub which leaves my face silky smooth! If I'm not wanting to be so harsh on my face with friction I will use my chemical exfoliant by Paula's Choice which I use mostly in my T-zone as it's great for making them areas so smooth. I will only exfoliate my face 2-3 times a week,

After that about 1-2 times a week I will use a mask! At the moment I am using Models Prefer hydrating and calming mask! It's so lovely! I absolutely love the cooling affect it gives me, leaves my face feeling so fresh and hydrated.

After all that I would usually then apply my eye cream, at night I would use my La Clinica eye cream. During the day/ before makeup I would use my Indio eye rise, this has a brightening pigment which counteracts my under eye circles.

I will then apply my Bioderma pore refiner if I'm apply my makeup after woulds, I apply this in my T-zone and over my cheeks. It works absolutely great!
I would then apply my Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer!

I will usually let them set into my skin for a little while before I apply any of my makeup, as i don't want my makeup to be effected. Although just before I apply my makeup I will spritz my Indio Skin Tonic toner over my face, which I also usually spray on my face during the day

And the lucky last thing I do is apply my Lucas PaPaw Ointment on my lips!

Thanks so much for reading my post! Do you like any of these products? Are they associated in your skincare routine? Let me know! :)

Top 10 products under $10!

Hi there and welcome back to my blog!
Today's post is my personal favorite products under $10AUD so lets jump straight into it

My first product is Elf under eye setting powder in Sheer. I've been looking for ages to find a great powder that will prevent my under eyes that are completely prone to concealers creasing to actually set the concealer all day!
I feel as though this powder is quite brightening under the eyes too, looking at it in it's packaging you can see what looks like glitter in the actual product which I thought it was going to make me look like I have put sparkles all over my face but they are so tiny and very reflected which what makes the brightening affect
This products retails for $8AUD at Kmart

My second product is Elf studio blushes! These are absolutely great, I heard a lot of bad reviews on these blushes saying they were chalky and not very flattery but I have not yet found a shade that has had that effect on me.
They are very blend-able and are quite pigmented, certain ones more then others. I have 9 shades of the blushes and can find myself having one for every makeup look I do. For example Merry Berry is beautiful to use lightly with a vampy dark lip look!
These also retail for $8AUD at Kmart

My next product is Essence Lash Mania Mascara! I only just recently picked this up and I'm absolutely in love and have defiantly found my new favorite mascara.
This mascara doesn't clump my lashes at all, it separates them perfectly and gives the perfect amount of volume and length. For the price this mascara is incredible
It retails for $4.95AUD from Priceline or Target

My next product is also Essence and it's the Eyebrow Stylist Set
I've always used different eyeshadows on my eyebrows and never really got around to buying something actually made for them, but I was in priceline and saw this and thought why not!
It's absolutely great, I apply it with an angled brush.
It retails for $3.95AUD from Priceline or Target

Next up is Maybelline Crayon Khol eye liners
These are so smooth and creamy and glide on amazingly, awesome to smudge out for a smokey look or for a bold liner look
I use sparkle grey as a base for a smokey eye and it's great, or if I'm not wanting the average black liner! Also this black is my favorite to use in my tight-line and waterline
It retails for $6.95AUD and you can pick it up from anywhere that sells Maybelline

Next one is a brand of nail polish Sinful Colors
This brand has a great color range, at the moment sadly I only have spring colors and none for this months season!
I rocked these colors in Spring and Summer! I find myself being able to apply only one coat and get a great color pay off! Although you must wear a base coat with these polishes has they are prone to staining nails and I learned that the hard way!
They retail for $5.95AUD depending where you purchase them, they are available at Priceline and Target

Now I have a cult favorite and that is the NYX butterglosses
These are super great on their own or on top of a lipstick! I absolutely love the smell of these! My favorite would have to be Creme Brulee and I wear this on top of most of my nude lipsticks if I'm not looking for a matte finish
These retail for $9.95AUD and you can purchase them from Target

Next is Essence lip liners! LOVE LOVE LOVE! These are my most favorite lip liners by far.
They are so soft and easy to apply, they also look so great on their own
Femme Fatale is perfectly matched with MAC Ruby Woo lipstick! My favorite out of them all would have to be the nude as I wear mostly nudes so that lip liner gets a lot of wear
They retail for only $1.80AUD from Priceline

Next up is a skincare product and it's the St. Ives apricot scrub, this is only the 30ml which is the smaller version to the 150ml
This is great for getting all the dead skin off, as I have sensitive skin I usually tried to avoid physical exfoliants, but I find this isn't harsh on my face at all. All round great exfoliant and is smells amazing!
This size retails for $3.50AUD and the 150ml is only $9.95AUD from Priceline

The last one I say talk for everyone here and say this is bar far one of the best things out there and it the Maybelline Baby Lips lip balms!
I'm pretty sure everyone knows how great these are, they are so moisturizing and they all smell (and maybe taste) amazing!
I apply the orange one each night before bed and I wake up with my lips feeling great. I don't think I really need to say more on this product because everyone raves about them enough!
They retail for $3.95AUD but I always find them on sale at my supermarket or Priceline!

Thanks so much for coming and checking out my top 10 products under $10? What are some of your favorite products under $10?
Stay tuned for my next post on Wednesday!

Iherb Shopping Experience!

I am going to start out by saying that purchasing through Iherb has been the best online shopping experience of my life. Not only are the price extremely affordable but they had me at "Delivered in 2 days"
My first purchase was last year when I picked up a few Real Techniques brushes and if remember correctly I received them in about a week because of the shipping I chose that day. My freebie is this package was a little Iherb highlighter!

The brushes cost me $8-12 each, which I thought was absolutely great because if I was to buy them at my local Priceline they would cost me $18-20 each

Then I few months ago I decided to visit the website again and completely had forgotten they sold Elf cosmetics, I ended up buying a few blushes and a lipstick and picked the shipping that was $8 dollars and it arrived to me in 2 days!!
I also got a free eyeshadow in this purchase which was so sweet.
The shipping was absolutely incredible.

I then decided I would make another purchase for the rest of the Studio Blushes, and again they came in two days. The only bad thing was and I was devastated is that one of the blushes had been broken in transit. I contacted them and immediately got a response saying they had given me a refund and that they hope it didn't effect my future purchases.
Talk about great customer service

As the picture shows above, that was my last Iherb order about 2 weeks ago now where I decided to buy everything else I wanted and some gifts for Mothers Day. This took a little bit longer to arrive as it was a Easter long weekend, I didn't mind when it arrive I made sure nothing was broken (nothing was) and they were kind enough to give me a free Iherb peg! (haha)

What I also love about I herb is their shipping, flat rate! I usually go with the $8 shipping, or there is an even cheap alternative at only $4

I highly recommend Iherb to purchase elf cosmetics and anything else you're thinking of buying.

Their customer service is absolutely amazing. Especially from previous websites I have purchased from before I have had some online shopping nightmares (post on this coming soon!)

In conclusion my experience shopping with Iherb is great, everything you really want in a shopping experience. Great customer service, Fast delivery and Cheap but good products!

Perfect (cheap) nudes!

Today's post is all about the my perfect nudes!

The first one I am going to talk about is actually a lip liner, and it's the Essence lip liner in the shade "In the nude" This is a little bit darker then all of my lipstick nude which is great for getting the 'bigger lip look'
I also find myself lining and filling in my lips and wearing a gloss over the top because the color is completely perfect for a soft nude. At the price of $1.80AU it is 100% worth it.

Now moving on, this next lipstick is one I only recently picked up and I've been wearing every single day, and it's the Chi Chi Viva La Diva Matte Lipstick in CENTREFOLD
It's not a very pink nude which is what I usually lean towards but it's on the peachy side. The perfect way to describe it is it's a "my lips but better" and I'm saying it's much better. Perfect for if you are going for a No Makeup, Makeup Look or wanting to wearing something completely light on your lips with a smokey/ clubbing look.
Also the packaging is completely divine! It retails for $18.95AU and you can purchase it at Myer or Target or head to Chi Chi Cosmetics Website by clicking on this link.

For my next one I wear if I'm wanting more of a darker nude and it's the Australis Velourlips in PA-REE
Australis Velourlips are highly raved about it and after trying this I completely understand why, when I purchased this I also purchased RIO-D which I'm yet to pull off/ get used to the bright color on me. These have an amazing staying power! I can wear it for a majority of the day and it only starts wearing off around the time I eat dinner!
It's very easy to apply, with a sponge tip applicator. It's a cream lipstick and it dries matte. I would exfoliate if you are prone to dry lips and using a lip balm before use also.
I usually go for this nude if I know I am going to have long day and I wont be able to touch up every hour.
It retails for $9.95AU

Next up we have NYX Butter gloss in Creme Brulee
This is my favorite lip gloss if I'm wanting something simple and nude but with a little bit of color. It has the perfect pink tint to it and great for a wearing out to lunch as it's completely easy to apply and to chuck in your handbag
For me it's not too sticky and actually really moisturizing. I am one to get a bit annoyed when wearing lip gloss if it's too sticky. It wears well, one thing I have noticed is that if I am wearing it and I'm drinking out of a glass the glossy feeling will completely fade but I will still have a hint of color but the color would eventually fade if not touched up

I love the vanilla scent it has too it and must say it smells 100% better then the matte lip cremes. It retails for $9.95AU and can be purchased from Target or on websites such as Beautyjoint and Cherry Culture

Next is Elf Matte Lip Color in Nearly Nude
I can't explain how much I love this product. It's so creamy and easy to apply but dries matte but yet not at all drying on the lips. The packaging a twist up stick and a matte finish to the packaging.
This is perfect if you are after the perfect pink toned nude, and pairs perfectly with the essence lip liner mentioned earlier.
I have since purchased this product in different shades and all I can say it good things. The product is amazing, you can pick it up from Kmart for $8AU or you can go to my favorite place to purchase elf and that is Iherb.com where you can purchase it for $3AU

Second last is MUA lipstick in Shade 14 - Bare
This is much more of a brown shade nude on my complexion and I find it great to just chuck on with a minimal makeup look.
I purchased this along with another lipstick for $1.88 (Awkward price) from MUA cosmetics.
It is super creamy and the finish is quite glossy, I also think this looks great with the essence lip liner mentioned before.
I am looking into buying a lot more of these lipstick because the quality is amazing for the price!

Now another one that is amazing for the price
ELF lip stick in Nostalgic, I picked this up from Iherb for $1.99 and I think it has to be the one of the best nude lipsticks I have used. It lasts and smells amazing.
Its a very pink nude but too pink. The finish is very glossy which I love because it also works as a lip balm.
I think out of all of them this one is by far my favorite nude shade. I also find it's not as pigmented as most of the ones I have mentioned but I feel like that gives off a more natural look to the lips.

Thank you so much for coming and reading my post on my Perfect (Cheap) nudes! I guarantee if you love your nude lips like I do then you will love at least one if not all of these products!
If you are wanting to know a little bit more on each product please don't hesitate to contact me at aprillee.reimann@hotmail.com

Thanks again so much and I'll see you in my next post!

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation Review!

I purchased this foundation online a few weeks ago being very excited about it's arrival!
The first comment I'll make on it is that it's consistency reminded me a lot like Revlon Color Stay Whipped Foundation the only difference this is in a tube which I think is much easier then reaching in and grabbing some product and therefore more hygienic.

I firstly tried applying this foundation with the Real Techniques expert face brush and I didn't find it was applying it right until the other day I thought 'Why not try your hands?' I find applying with my hands the only way I can get it to look good on me and THEN buffed in with a 'not too' dense buffing brush.

What I also ignored on the packaging is that it told me to "Shake well" and my mistake is I applied without shaking and it turn out being very orange on my face! So one tip from me to you is "Shake!" The more you shake the better.

Now I think this is a full coverage foundation but it can easily be sheered out by applying a little or mixing with moisturizer.
A little of this foundation goes a very long way I only need a pea sized amount to be able to great a great even coverage. I might add this is not my everyday foundation I am a bit to scared to use it all up for the price it cost me but it's defiantly going to be my "going out" foundation.

If you are wanting to get your hands on it click the link below!
Buy it here!
